The Friends of Paws Park would like to honor the memory of our
beloved Paws Park friends who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
We are thankful we knew them and will hold onto their memories forever.

Casey Folsom

12/15/91 - 6/14/06

Our beloved "Westie Girl" Casey died on June 14, 2006. She had multiple health problems occur after the Pit Bull attack in January. Casey was our inspiration for working to get Jax Beach Paws Park. She loved to "meet and greet" everyone. She became an unofficial ambassodor for Paws Park by attending most of the petition drives, the Opening of the Beaches Parade, Pet Expos, Beaches Fun Runs and other events sponsored by the Humane Society. She loved riding in her stroller with signs and ads for a dog park.

Walking on the beach was a favorite activity. She made eye contact with other walkers and thereby had a visit and many pictures made with people from all over the United States and the world.

Casey was the most gentle of souls, always caring and loving to other people and animals alike. She loved playing with her Meagan and Ryan and had many games in which she was an active participant. Even make-believe games were a delight for all.

She was my "Velcro" puppy. With me 24-7 if at all possible. Taking every step I took. She loved her Granmaw Doris Houser and enjoyed the times Doris took care of her.

Casey will be missed by many friends and all our relatives who loved her. Stephanie, her first mommy, Sydney, her sister, Frazier, her kitty and her friends Doris, Sandy, Norma and little Eddie. We feel cheated that she did not live as long as most Westies 17-20 years, but we were blessed by an angel with love and devotion who taught us all so much. We will remember and cherish our special CASEY.

Casey we love you! Janet and Lance Folsom

In Memory of
Larry Pariseau

1937-2006

A well-read, quiet, kind and gentle man who loved his dog Yukon very much. Larry
and Yukon lived in Neptune Beach and were the best of friends who went everywhere together. Over the years, they made many friends in their neighborhood, on their daily walks on the beach, in their weekday visits to Cinotti's bakery and in their daily visits to Paws Park. The friendship between Larry and Yukon was a heartwarming example of the special bond between a man and his dog. Larry will certainly be missed by his Paws Park friends, neighbors and most importantly, his best friend and companion Yukon. We know that someday, Larry will be waiting for Yukon on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge and they will once again be together!

Micah Bear Brizzi

12/23/04 - 2/9/07

"One Brief Shining Moment"

Micah was no angel. He growled too much, barked too much, stole food and toys, fought with his brother little eddie, and was a bully at the beaches dog park. And I could not have loved him more.

Micah was an angel. He woke up every day happy, gave kisses and little nips, ran just for the sheer joy of running, and touched me with his nose sometimes just to let me know he was there. And I could not have loved him more.

I did not want to rescue another dog because I was afraid that I would not have enough love for two. Micah taught me that there is always enough love to go around, more than enough. And I could not have loved him more.

In the too short of a time that he was on this earth, this little white fluffy angel touched so many people with his joy. He made eddie a better dog, and me a better person. And I could not have loved him more.

Godpseed little Micah until we meet again at the Bridge.

Bailey

4/22/00 - 5/29/07

Bailey was a best friend who loved the beach, his frisbee, his tub and the swimming pool. He hated the 4th of July, the air show, New Years Eve, thunder and anything else that wen boom. He was a self-taught frisbee dog and body surfer who loved to dig in the sand and bury his frisbee.

He loved his brother and sisters Keagan, Murphy and Quincey. Always happy and ready to go. He loved his friends at the dog park: Eddie, Riley, Barney, Murphy Li, big Gracie, little Gracie, Hooch, Peggy, Ruby, Scout, Maggie, Duke Bear and all the other passed by his nose.

He was a great snuggle partner for Tracie and a greak bekini getter for Keith. When he walked the beach, they all turned their heads to look and see who was that handsom red head with the old fat bald guy.

Thanks to all that loved Bailey.

Murphy, Quincie, Keagan, Tracie and Keith

Charlie

5/1/00  - 2/13/10
"The dog up & died", is a reference to the old Bojangles tune ("& after 20 years he still grieves").  That song runs through my mind, unbidden, when I think of my glorious boy.  Charlie was a Paws Park regular & had many friends there.  He was also a twice a week visitor to Alzheimer, Cancer, & Stroke patients, assigned by the Community Hospice volunteers program.  I was so proud of how expert a therapy dog Charlie was.  In the last year of his life he learned how to swim & retrieve. I was proud of that as well.  Charlie died very suddenly a mere day after throwing toys to himself & running on the beach.  I knew that his blood disorder would shorten his life span, but had no idea it would all go so quickly.  At least he did not suffer & was in my arms at the last, as I stroked him & muttered "good dog;  good boy".  I just turned around & he's gone.

Reno Bailey of  Willow Bend

9/26/97 - 6/13/10

On Sunday evening, in the arms of her family, our beloved Bailey crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

We will miss her dearly.  She was an accomplished swimmer, lizard chaser and daily newspaper fetcher.

Though she leaves a huge hole in our hearts and lives, we are comforted to know she is in a better place,

strong and healthy once more, chasing birds up and down a beautiful endless beach.
